The Heishan open-pit coal mine is located on the top of the Tianshan Mountains and is known as the "coal mine on the Tianshan Mountains". It is a modern large-scale open-pit mine with a capacity of millions of tons built by Guoneng Xinjiang Company in Xinjiang. The altitude here is high, the climate is extremely cold, and the natural conditions are extremely harsh. The coal seams run east-west and lean north-south, forming a south dipping monocline structure. There are 9 coal seams in the upper and lower layers, each with different technical standards for mining, and the rich structure is complex.
After the project started, the on-site management team of the company overcame various unfavorable conditions such as difficulties in construction organization before the Spring Festival, complex geological conditions of the mine, and arduous coal production tasks. They carefully organized the construction and successfully completed control projects such as pre splitting blasting of the boundary slope, blasting of the upper and lower rocks of the coal seam, and controlled blasting of the foundation pit, achieving short-term production and providing strong support for the coal supply guarantee of the owner.
